Summary:
The Northside Baseball Academy's off-season training program is designed for those boys who wish to sharpen their skills, make adjustments in their games, work on their conditioning, and generally prepare for tryouts with a team that will play in the following Spring (like the Northside Falcons). However, that is not a requirement. Any homeschooled boy between the ages of 11-18 who wants to stay in shape or get in shape within the context of a Christian environment and a baseball environment will be well served by this two-month program.
So, if you plan to play baseball anywhere in the Spring of 2025, you don't want to miss this program of comprehensive baseball training, focusing on both skills development and physical conditioning. Specific training will be carried out for all aspects of the game itself, including pitching, hitting, fielding, baserunning and more. Conditioning work will consist of baseball-specific drills, plus strength, agility, vision and speed training.
Last, but not least, it will be fun! Here is an opportunity to improve your game in an environment where highly competitive baseball and physical discipline are balanced with Christian camaraderie and genuine brotherly love. You're gonna' love it!

Rain Policy: Whenever forecasts indicate possible severe weather, or when there has been heavy rain the night before, players/parents should call to find out the status of that day's training session. Please call coach Shelby at 281-221-1079 or Dana Chelette at 832-527-8008. If a particular session is cancelled completely, we will attempt to make it up on the next nearest opportunity. However, we will most likely just move to an indoor facility, which will probably be D-Bat, located at 27309 Spectrum Way, Oak Ridge North, TX 77385. If such is the case, there will be a small additional fee of $5 per player to help cover the cost of the facility rental. Another possibility is that we will move to the all-turf soccer fields at Gosling Sports Fields, located at 4055 Marsico Pl, The Woodlands, TX 77384.

Other Information:
Players should wear appropriate clothing, including baseball pants and hat, cleats (no track spikes), and appropriate protective gear. Player must provide his own glove and helmet. Players are also advised to bring tennis shoes (for certain drills), a towel, and an extra t-shirt. Players are encouraged to bring their own bat and batting gloves, although a limited supply of bats may be on hand for general use.
Players are required to bring their own water bottle or other liquid supply. We will have water coolers on hand, but they can be depleted quickly. Also, although the facility does have a water fountain, we have no way of assuring its status of operation.
Finally, please understand that parents are welcome to stick around, provided they remain outside the fence and away from other training activities. In connection, parents need to plan for drop-off and pick-up at the appropriate times. We will not be responsible for players who are not picked up at the appropriate time.
Requirements:
Each new player/parent must fill out a Participation Agreement which should be brought on the first day of training, along with the appropriate payment. Checks should be made payable to "Northside Baseball Academy".
Members of Northside Baseball Academy, including players who were on a spring season Northside Falcons team, need to bring payment but do not need to submit another participation agreement.
